![]() ![]() I’ve done some research, but getting a lot of unclear answers on whether or not this can be pulled off. I’m considering selling the new setup and taking a different angle with a native metal-capable GPU for the Mac Pro that will provide a functioning boot screen, a functioning mojave system as well as a functioning Windows partition. My suspicion is this is a problem with the bootcamp drivers for windows struggling with the thunderbolt/usb-c ports on the mac mini, but not clear at this point.Įither way, it’s been far from “just works”, but it’s usable. ![]() Additionally, I can’t get the G-RAID to be seen by the windows boot. So, apart from some minor issues with having to manage powering up separate devices, I still can’t get the eGPU to function with windows, and using it with the mac requires “hot swapping” the HDMI for the display-port after system log in. Got frustrated and decided to drop it for the updated mac mini, for a system that “just works”. A few months ago, in frustration, I abandoned my Mac Pro for a new Mac Mini after resorting to a couple full-system restores due to irreparable bootcamp crashes.
